Thanks for the great advise bigskyhd. HELL if I can ride I 95 here in South Florida with all the cagers, I figure riding in your part of the country will be one of the ultimate riding joys and experience. The great part of living down here is you can ride your scoot all year round. The bad part, more and more 70+ cagers are driving the same roads we baggers like to ride.
Looking forward to passing you, or riding with near you on a road near you soon.
liv2ride.
Thanks for the info on what to bring. When you talk about crazies, what zackly you talking about. Many of my buds ride out each summer and unless you drink heavy and ride crazy, everything seems to be OK. My wife, friends, and I are out to ride out your way, through Wyoming, SD, and just have a good time. Any other words of wisdom for an easterner "Grandpa," and thanks.
Bigskyhd...you are welcome! One other thing...you said your wife likes to shop. North Park Mall is a must. Not too overwhelmingly large, and regarded as one of the best malls in the US...certainly Dallas. It's at NW Hwy (loop 12) and I75 (Central Espressway) - pretty much in the middle of Dallas.
Congrats on that new grandson!
Thanks for your kind words. I'm feeling really good right now. I usually need 2-3 days after treatment and I bounce back. I'm watching the thermometer right now and as soon as it goes up, I'm out riding. It's supposed to be sunny and +8C (46F) but I'm still waiting. Riding keeps me sane!
Thanks, I get to Spokane every once in a while. Only about a 3 hour ride for me. You've got a great Steak House up that way. Is it the Wolfs Inn Lodge? Wife and I rode the bike up there last year for some dinner. Anyhoo, good cow!! Btw, I've seen a lot of Fattys with detachable fairing, and Road King bags. It can really look sweet. Ever considered going that route. Might save ya some $$. Yell if you're ever over this way... Craig
Thanks for the compliment. Still winter up here, but I'll save your note, and when I get something I'll shoot it off to ya. It's an old school look that I really like. Many say it's an old effect now, and that I should modernize.... One more reason to stay with the old look. Thanks again...
