I have a 2007 Street Glide with 11,000 miles. The bike is well maintained at the dealers. The bearings let loose in the trap door of the transmisson (the outer race is steel as is the inner race, but get this the cage holding the balls is plastic...the plastic is what broke). The bike is out of warranty, of course, so I called Harley and asked for some support form their end. Their answer NO. The best part is they want me to put the same type bearing back in this bike(WOW). I am going to the dealer tonight to discuss the possibity of replacement bearings. I am very dissatisfied with customer service and their support. The bike is still like new and bad bearings...smells like sh.. to me. In one week I have heard of three other people with this issue on Fl models. Anyone else care to comment?
