Here is another log on the fire.......
This page was found at Sudco's website. It is page 66 from the new catalog that shows the needle jet and needle numbers that are in my Mikuni (and Ironhead's as well). You can download the entire catalog there if you want to.
Now, do they still have such parts for these old carbs (?) is the $64 question. In 2000 they told me that they did not. Perhaps they still list the parts in the catalog for historical purposes, I do not know.........pg

Hey Guys this is some great information. Thanks so much.

I was able to find some information on-line but it was not as clear asyou guyshave put together here.
As soon as I have a chance, I'll dig into what I actually haveand possibly square this thing away once in-for-all.

Panz, a PDF copy would be great and I may need to talk to you about the Mikuni you have.

EDIT: Where do I look for for the model # on the carb?
I know my eyes aren't what they used to be but even with my reading glasses on nothing jumps out at me. [:@]

Thanks Panz causeI still don't have it running right yet.

Hey Guys, sorry I haven't reported back before now, but with things going on here and lucky enough to get a week out of town having some fun, I'm BACK!

Ok... the Ironhead is running like a raped-ape!

After replacing the rubber spigot, and readjusting the needle valve and some tweeking, she's running great!

Obviously, there were variables that kept it from running properly.

Great to hear it is running well! Haven't heard from you in a while.
That Mikuni should really run fine on your machine. Out of the different carbs I have run on mine, the Mikuni is without question the best of them all. If I did not insist on using the enclosed solid wire throttle cable on my bike, the Mikuni would be installed on it.........pg
