Default What is the HDForums Mascot?

The HDForums Mascot is a tradition started about a year ago where we pass a special Harley Davidson flag from member to member across the country on our Harleys. Upon each passing, the person passing off the Mascot would sign it signifying their contribution to the Mascot's journey and a picture taken of the pass-off. Afterwards the individual who carried it would then write their story of the ride and turn it into Tripper to post on the forum.

If you would like to get in on the tradition, here is how:

1. Sign up and become a member of HDForums. (Its easy and free. all you need to do is create a login name and password and be active in our forums. Oh and have a Harley of coarse)
2. Check out the Mascot events and scheme of Manuver page to see when it will reach your area.
3. Post in the appropriate mascot region thread (Northern States, South East, North West post here, etc) your desire to carry, who you can coordinate with to pick it up, pass off, locations, and dates and times. . I will then add your request to the manuver schedule.
4. Ride and have fun.
5. Don't forget to take pics. We all love pics here.
6. And also don't forget to write your story with routes taken as well.

Any questions don't hesitate to ask me.

Hey I'd like to get on that list, but it seems the mascot is a loooong ways from where I'm at.

It's closer than you think! Sometimes it gets bogged down, and sometimes it travels great distances in a short amount of time...depending on the rider carrying it. It will be in the DFW, TX area in October. Join the HDForums map I have linked in the "where is the mascot now?" thread and keep checking back.

Well, I'm about to begin my epic journey in a few hours to get the Mascot in Yuma, AZ and take it with me riding! I SHOULD be back sometime around October 4th at the latest. Hopefully earlier than that, but I don't know...I'll see if Ragtyme can post pics of the handoff since he'll be able to post up well before I will.

The mascot really makes it's way around during the summer. Last summer I picked it up in vegas & handed it off in Lancaster, CA...3 weeks later I think it was in Pennsylvania.
