How about as close as possible. There's no way of determining a specific distance. He ll if you bring it to my town I'll buy the beer...., lol
Imho I think it should be picked up at one side of one state and run to another side of the stat by a member or members of that state, ideally. Gets more people involved and keeps the mascot moving. But people are so busy it makes it difficult. I mean I could ride into Indiana a ways, or into Michigan a ways and I', sure OhioScully would if he could as well, plus there are other members who might want to be involved.
We're having Easy Riders's Rodeo 20 min south of me on Labor day. That might be a good exchange point. Supposedly it has a huge turnout. The beer will flow and the blood will spill-well lets hope no blood.Or theres a huge get together at a joint called Jimbo's in Hocking Hills further ese of here. The boys are back in town....
Can't lay down a definite perimeter of miles, just as close as it can get.
So, anyone in Neb, or Kansas, or Colorado who could pick it up and hand it off headed east? Then there's Missouri and Iowa, Illinois and Indiana and theres Arkansas and Ky too.
How about it? Anybody? Know anybody you can get hold of up or down the way? Maybe get it down to the souther states for the winter....Fla, Ga, Al??

We still have the the Mascot here in N. Colorado ... I can meet anyone at any bordering state .... just got to get er done before is snows around here.
if it made its way to the east say border of IL and Indiana soon it could spend some time in ohio and then get passed south. But if all this doesn't happen soon the snow will be flying no doubt about that.
I could go as far as say terre haute indiana which is on the border of IL and Indiana and back in a day from columbus ohio that would be about a 400 mile round trip for me so if someone can get it to that area we can pick it up from there.

Sure doesn't look good for the ER Rodeo does it Jerry....or even this season. Like DD said, snow will be a flyin in their neck of the woods soon, probably sooner than in our fair state.

Jerry, we are heading down Saturday morning. Planning on an all dayer (personally I'm not so sure there's enough going on their to stay til the wee hours......)Fri evening we're headed to Jimbo's, then Sunday back to Jimbo's for the Hog roast. $8-all you can eat. I think our friends are going to head back Sun morning although we're trying to convince them to stay at least til Sun evening. Sat morning might begin with breakfast in Laurelville, or maybe somewhere in town, then on to Chilli. You are more than welcome to ride along or meet up most anywhere. There will be between 4 and 6 bikes, most likely 4 to the rodeo. I believe the wife will ride her own to Jimbo's.

If it made it to the Illinois Border I'm in central IL. Terre Haute could be an easy exchange point for me.

How much farther west are really willing to go ?
Dyna Duo are some great folks, and the mascot is being well cared for, and they really helped me out by taking the mascot with them, when my original plans fell apart just days prior to leaving Texas for an exhange in Durango Co.... If I had more vacation time I'd do a Fly and Ride, just to get the mascot moving again....but I don't. So I hope something materializes soon. Otherwise I'm gonna have to Iron Butt it up there and bring it south for the winter.
