It looks like the interest in the Forum Mascot is DEAD! Not a single sole in Texas is interested in getting together for lunch and a signing. That is a very sorry state of affairs. I suggest that perhaps we violate the Mascot travel rules and bag it up and put it in the mail to Terry or some other responsible forum member as a bit of memorabilia of what and who the Forum used to be.
That's my rant for the year.
I dont get to ride as much as Id like, but if whoever has it in Texas can get it out to El Paso, I can pick it up and pass it on to either one of the Northern New Mexico guys or maybe one of the Arizona guys. Im sure they get out enough to get it moving around.

I'm beginning to reluctantly agree with wldbill. It's getting harder and harder to move the Mascot ANYWHERE. It also seems as though people get interested in it just AFTER it has left a particular location. I'd like to see it get to the East Coast, but how's it gonna GET there? If I'm not mistaken the main PURPOSE of the Mascot is so that we members can actually physically meet each other, and ride while doing it rather than just meet in front of a computer screen.
Logistics is a main challenge, it seems. So, it's in Texas now. Interest from California, Ohio and Florida has been expressed, but that's a LOOOOONG haul without a cooperative "middle man" (or woman) in between. DFW to El paso is a long ass all day ride in itself. We used to have members who would actually sacrifice a weekend at the drop of a hat to come get the Mascot. I rode from DFW to Yuma, AZ to pick it up, and I don't even come close to the record for Mascot-related miles, but if interest was there, we wouldn't HAVE to worry about dedicating an entire weekend to ride halfway across the country to transport the Mascot. If even half the folks who put themselves on the "Mascot Map" were genuinely interested in moving the Mascot, it would have little difficulty traversing the nation North, South, East or West.
OK, enough of my rant. Maybe we can get it moving again, I don't know. I hope so.

I am trying to coordinate with a couple of people along the way. If it all works out, there will be a middle man between DFW and El Paso/Las Cruces and then I can get it to the Arizona crew. Then they can get it to Owner of Harriet who said he could take it from Central California on up to Oregon, or if he gets it early enoough, he can get it to Milwaukee and Sturgis. How does that sound yall?
