Default Street legal 103 stage 2 vs SE Pro 103 Stage 2

Both kits have same pistons and cam ( SE 255 ) In the 2010 SE catlog the pro shows around 7 more foot lbs of TQ. Is the difference in the download and lack of a CAT. I have the 255 cam and SE AC in my 09 Triglide with the street legal download. The dealer did not add the CAT. If the difference is in the download would like to try it a try. The PRO download would have to add more fuel.

You still runnin stock mufflers? I would'nt go with another download......PC V would get much better results ....add the autotune to it and even better yet or a mastertune if you want to go that route. A canned download aint gonna get you the best results. Best results would probably be the TTS Master Tune and a good tuner and dyno time. Second best the PC V

7ft lbs of torque I honestly dont think your gonna feel it. Each motor when built always runs differently. The day of the tune, the machine and the tuner doing it.
If your looking for more power and torque, you have to combine all these factors.

1) Head work with porting and polishing

2) The right cam for your needs

3) A good exhaust

4) High flowing air cleaner

5) A good tuner along with a good tune will gain you the most.

After all that there will other factors on how well your motor performs,

The gas you buy with the octane rating.

Does it have ethonol and how much up 10%

What area of the country are you riding,

How you ride your machine

I have ridden from SC to California and back on my trike. There were times when the trike would run flawlessly and perform well. Other times it seemed to lose power depending the octane rating ( Its lower out west then on the east coast)
I got 45mpg on one tank when I filled up in Cheyenne Wyoming. I couldnt believe it. I noticed the gas was 93 octane with no ethonol.

Gas is the biggest factor on how well the motor will run

Just my input

Tom

I too have found that the lack of Ethanol in fuel increases my MPG. Hard to find around here. Closest station that I have found so far is 65 miles from me! Not worth running to it just to fill up!

Road Captain pretty much nailed it as far as mods for peak performance. I don't feel the 2010 owners will be able to take full advantage of the mods because of the catalytic converter stuffing up the headpipe! What good will free flowing mufflers do us with that impacted headpipe? Pipes and AC work together and it will be hard to stike a balance with a High Flowing AC with your exhaust still plugged up. Your 09 is a super Trike compared to the 2010 and you have the advantage of being able to mod it for extra performance.

Hey T... don't forget, you will feel improved TQ results with a build if the bike/trike is geared to the riders style and "in-mind" performance. Doesn't matter how much TQ or HP you have if your gear is too tall. Dropping the compensator gear a few teeth will cause face wrinkles due to the grinnage factor.
