Never know it could show early. A couple weeks ago mine had a ship date of 8/12. My dad called the dealer and they said they have a vin number and have been invoiced. They expect it this week or early next week.

We can only hope. Lynn is having Street Glide withdrawel since she gave them her bike
a few weeks ago. I keep telling her once she has her TG she will forget about her SG ;-)

msocko3 don't forget to post pic's of your TG. It will definatly be a one & only for awhile
with the paint option you picked. I heard they only made like 2500 TG's last year.
Any idea if that is the plan again this Year ?
Also you still going to do the HOSE TEST to the trunk before you sign the check ?
Lynn is still worried they may not fixed the trunk leak that appeared on the 09's.

I do know they haven't fixed my trunk leak yet. It is something I can live with but sure don't like it. I do believe thay will come up with a fix for it.

I'll be sure to post up some pics, maybe I'll get lucky and be at the dealers when its getting prepped. I'm not sure how many they are planing to produce this year, not sure if the dealers know yet. I might have to ask the sales mgr how they are being handled this year. I know for 09 they were only allowed 2 then once they sold them they could get a third. The trunk leak is going to be interesting. According to the 2010 Tech bulletin they have a improved trunk seal that will retrofit. I've tossed and turned on how harsh of a stance I'm going to take. I'm going to have them check for a trunk leak for sure. I'm lucky that I have a great dealer and I'm going to give them a chance and take delivery of it even if it does have a leak. At one point I was realy ticked off when my dad was having problems and not getting much action. Since then the dealer has stepped up and seems to be trying to do the right things. Not to mention I'm a sucker for a new toy and I'm pretty pumped knowing it could be here any day. My dad did some experimenting on locating where the leak is. He has it nailed down to the top part of the gasket.

I also have the advantage of a lemon law in the State of Ohio so I can protect myself with that if HD doesn't deal with the problem like they should.

Yep I saw the Tech bulletin, got it a few days ago from another source. I was at the dealer yesterday and the sales mgr showed me a picture of the 2 tone that I'm getting, looks pretty good. I told them to call me when mine comes in, I want to take pictures. We got to talking about trunk leaks and he said at the dealer show everyone that walked up to the Street Glide trike would point at the trunk and comment "does this one leak too". Good to hear that the Moco was getting kicked around at the dealer show.

Lastnight my wife and I took my dads TG out for a ride. The dang thing is sure a nice ride. The 103 with Stage 1 makes decent power, passed a pickup truck with ease. I'm used to the power of my 06 Ultra which is running a Head Quarters touring build, I have to say I think I can keep the TG at Stage 1 and be happy with it.

Now that is down right funny !
Lynn asks the same thing at every Dealer we happen to visit that had a 09 TG.
I looked at your color online and it looks nice !
It got the same paint pattern as my Ultra.
I ordered the same (Blue/silver) on my 1998 FLHTCI but when a red one came
in sooner I took it instead. That was back when you had to wait a year or so
for a bike. BTW ..... You are up on alot of HD stuff ....
Our Dealer said HD is shutting down for quite a few weeks.
I think she said 14, you hear anything about that ?

I haven't heard anything about 14 weeks. I did see where they were talking about idling the York plant for 6 weeks.

http://www.wgal.com/money/20071356/detail.html

They are also poor mouthing it to the State of Pennsylvania.

http://www.wgal.com/money/20223670/detail.html

I'm betting they will take more action once they see how the 2010 sales go. I know each market is different but around here there seems to be a pick up of sales when the new models hit the floor then it slows down in the fall and winter until after tax time. The touring CVO's seem to never hit the showroom floor with the only exception being a CVO Road Glide this year, it sat for a few months before someone bought it. Road Glides don't seem to be a good seller in this neck of the woods. On the road I see about 1000 or more Batwing bikes for every Road Glide I see. So far the same goes for the Trikes, they are sold before they hit the floor. I have the 1st 2010 and there are other folks standing in line waiting for whatever comes next.

Default Glad I jumped on the first 2010

Reading this forum confirms that I made a good choice jumping on the first Tri-Glide coming in to my favorite dealer in Georgia. My wife just had surgery on her collarbone from an unfortunate spill on a VStar 1100. We had 95% decided to switch her to the Tri-Glide the afternoon before the mishap, and that capped it. She wanted a red one and that was the first coming in so..... I picked it up today, but she'll just have to look at it for a couple months. I love my Heritage, but I have to admit riding the Trike home 40 miles was an absolute blast! This is my first ever post, so I hope I didn't screw something up. I will keep an eye on this forum and hope to help my wife learn more about her new wheels.
