Default reverse problems

Has any one else experienced the triglide trying to go into reverse while going forward? This happened to me.
I was riding in the rain for several days and the unit started to try to go into reverse without any warning.

Have you talked to your dealer or HD Customer Service about this problem. That is not a good thing to happen. We must be going through the first year build problems. Just think, they haven't been able to fix the leak problems in the trunk seal so what will they do with a serious problem such as what happened to you.

I was thinking if a Champion reverse conversion could be installed on the Tri Glide instead of having the Elec reverse. The Champion reverse sounds like a better set up as it is in the transmission just shift the lever on the trans.

That's a major malfunction. To use reverse: (1) you have to be in neutral,
(2) you have to depress the enabler "R" button and (3) you have to depress and hold the "↓" button. All that and yours operated on its own! I'd be heading for the dealership ASAP.

That is about 1,600 plus what you have already spent to get reverse. HD needs to make it right.

I read yea hind sight being 20/20 If it were possible to of ordered my Tri with out elec reverse. And if the Champion reverse is a reliable setup I would of went for it. The Elec reverse is a pain to use pulls a lot of juice from the battery and can trip the breaker. Is the Champion reverse easy to get in and out of reverse ? any one have first hand experance using the Champion set up ?
