EITMS-engine idle temp mgmt system

I am going to enable my EITMS on my Tri Glide. Has anyone used this? How can you tell if it is working?

You'll know at a stop bike warmed up engine will sound different. As soon as you burp the trottel it will come back to life. Tried it yesterday I turned the system on. then turned it off. Id use it in bumper to bumper traffic.

I didn't know what that was called but the description by Carlos is what has happened to us - believe if you're at a light or tied up in traffic for more than X amount of minutes, it shuts something down to cool the engine - once the throttle was 'burped' it 'came back to life'...

Think it's for when you're in a parade, etc, too...

Thread in touring section Cylinder cut out tells you how to set the system on and off. Ing on Twist trottle forward hold 5sec cruse lite will come on if red system off if green on . To change from off to on release grip and twist forward again. If you leave the light in green system on . If you leave it in red system off. I found this out on the Touring section. Was not in my Manual

You can also enable/disable the full function through the SERT software.

It's easy to know when it's on. The motor will sound like it is idling so low it will shut off on you but it won't.
