I got the one from HD..Stealth, I believe. Nice to be able to wear glasses, easily. A little noisy at 80 mph. Convenient when making quick fuel stops, or when you just want to open the front and get the circulation of a 3/4 helmet.

I would certainly buy another one.

I've got a Zeus matte black modular. For as much as I wear it (long road trips in the weather), the price was right, about $90 shipped. I find it comfortable, but as with about all modular, it is a little noisy when you get your speed up.

Thanks, never thought about the noise issue.

I have a Vega Summit II helmet (http://www.vegahelmet.com) for the helmet info but I also got some more reviews about other helmets at http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcyc...le-helmets.htm. I'm satisfied with the helmet, a little noise at speed but then again with the design of modular helmet vs reg. full face helmet.

check out the schuberthh J1 , a new concept for a 1/2 helmet with full visor and a chin bar.

i have the bmw modular and others and i like the ROOF the best for riding behind a fairing .the lower portion can be rotated all the way to the rear so that you can ride and the wind will not drag your head back, but it leaks when it rains .

check out all at webbikeworld.com

I'd like to hear others opinions on something a salesman told me: He said the purpose of full face helmets are to protect your jaw and face during an accident and that a modular helmet, because it can break away if its hit hard at the jaw, can break open and itdefeats the purpose of purchasing a full-face helmet.

I guess it made sense in that the reason I'm looking at a full faced helmet would be to protect my ugly mug. What do the rest think of this idea?

I like the flexibility that a modular gives you but following this logic, is there any one modular helmet you'd suggest that would hold up? Which company makes the best modular?

Ride safe.

My personal choice is the Shoei Multitec. Expensive yeah - but I only have one face/head, and dammit I deserve the best.......
