Default What works on pipe burns?

Yea i got it pretty bad. Thats what i get for being a dumbass and riding around in shorts

so i ran to CVS and got some burn-relief spray, did nothing.

Now my wife has me putting some sort of scar remover cream

Just thought if anyone knows about pipe burns, its you guys! Id like to prevent this from being a huge scar. Any chance?

WATER-JEL works awesome. Got burned at work several years ago and this worked friggin awesome. Keeps it hydrated so it doesnt dry out and crack and relieves pain. Go rob someones first aid kit

Get in the bath tub with cold cold water. It'll help pull the heat out. Or cold towel wraps changed often, put them in ice water.

But on a side note it's like a battle scar.

That's hilarious! I thought I was the only one :-) I got it pretty good while fueling up. I knew it could happen, I just forgot for an instant. That shiznick sure was hot. Mine slowly crusted over, but it took some time. Mine looks just like yours. I wear pants almost always now, but I still wear shorts occasionally. I kept the scar, sort of to remind me, and sort of because I didn't know there was some product that would stop it from scarring :-) Okay, only cause I didn't know of the product.

Ice to cool it down. Aloe to speed the healing.

PM Captain Itch. He had a burn like that a few weeks ago. If I'm ever tempted to ride in shorts I'll remember your picture. Thanks for taking the hit to prevent the rest of us from being a dumbass.
