Horn covers... to change or not to change?

decisions decisions
Been contemplating swapping out the original HD 'cowbell' horn cover with an aftermarket horn cover but then I'm thinking...naw, that would be like changing the 'M' logo for McDonald's, after all the nice original HD chrome 'cowbell' cover is like the logo for the Twin V's and it tells all that, Yes ... it's a Harley !

For me it isn't that it doesn't look right, but rather I put a nice shift linkage on the bike and the bell blocks it from being seen so I'd like one that's chrome, simple and doesn't hang down so far. I don't see the bell as a traditional taboo to change type of thing. I did see quite a few custom bikes today at the Easyrider Bike Show that still sported the cow bell version, but that has no influence on my decision for the pending change...

I just did my shift linkage while I wait for my barrels to come back. I cut the rod out & replaced it with chain that I welded. It looks cool, I painted it black until I can afford to get a few parts chromed. Did my mirror arms the same way. now they stick out a lil further so I'm not staring at my shoulders.
