Default LED Fuel Gauge

Quick question for yall. Do I need to remove the wire clip on the bottom of the fuel tank all together when installing the LED fuel gauge on my night train and replace it? Or can I just use the wires and clips that are already on the bike, just cut them from the stock fuel gauge and connect them to the new one?

I bought the LED gauge from a dealer 50% off because the hardware isn't included...

Thanks

Default LED Fuel Gauge

Hey, here is the pic. It was really easy. I am not planning on selling or using my original gauge, so I just cut the existing wires, attached connectors, and screwed them into the new gauge. Real simple and the LED's were much brighter than I expected them to be. It's a much more clean look.

It's part number 75051-08. There are a few to choose from, the all look pretty nice.

I have no idea...the lights burn out as the tank gets lower, when the gas light comes on, the last light blinks. My guess is they are about the same since the wiring is the same and the sensor in the tank has not changed.

Probally true but if the last light blinks as ur fuel light comes on thats nice, mine will read empty way before my gas light comes on. Its a nice piece though i like the looks and hope it works good for you.
