Thanks Ultra. Just got off Chicago Harley's site. They list all their SERTs at $367. They list 32107-01thru32107-01G in stock. On the 28th,Chicago Harley is having a performance service seminar. Gonna go check it out. I was going to buy a PCIII but to many horror stories on various blogs.
Curious Kwas, what horror stories? Was looking at the PC myself.
Zombie...i personally think from watching several bikes closely with PC's they are just fine, and actually are a better choice than SERT simply bc there are way more proficient tuners for PC than SERT....almost EVERY dealer who says they can dyno your SERT will just plug a map in and maybe tweak A/F, nowhere close to a custom map...one of the reasons is bc a PC can be tuned(computer reset) while bike is running, a SERT must be turned off, load in new, save new, restart, & recheck...SERT's take more work and have more parameters for change but for average joe wont make a hill o beans difference...i have SERT, wish i'd originally bought PC..i also have a DTT on order and anxiously watch PhilM's progress....IMO, the DTT or TMax would be far superior, but thats just from hearsay and what i read, Phil's the guinea pig
I have a sert, but I wouldn't argue with the above post about sert tuning - I just took mine to an independent and they just dyno tuned it with a stock map and played with the a/f/r. It runs great, but maybe a custom map would get a little extra. Anyway, I have a question: the shop that did mine said they didn't need my cd, as they had everything loaded in their computer; they just needed my box unit (I'm not sure what it's really called). I would assume that most dealers also have everything in their computer, which is all the most updated maps. So, any reason to update a sert if you're not going to be doing the tuning yourself?

Nope, your tuner should have all the latestmaps.

ultracla$$ic,,, how do you like the supertrapps? I was thinkin Rush 1.75's at first,,
but now I'm leaning towards the ST se's....
my prob is with all this snow, I cant get a chance to listen to any.
all I'm lookin for is,little more db's than stock,,, my dyna w V&H makes the noise which is fine,,
but I want a nice mellow low note on my ultra caddy.
you know what I mean? I'd like bikers to turn their heads know a harley is coming,, but the cops
would think of giving it a second look,, type sound.
by the way,,, your posts have been pretty informative for me! thanks for that!

I really like the sound and seat-of-the-pants performance gain from my Stage I selection. The Supertrapp SE's sound is a low rumble and marginally loud. I say "marginally" because I like them, but the wifey is not too keen on them. She likes a quiet ride, so I told her to follow me in the car......LOL! They do get louder with some miles as well. I'm satisfied and have no plans on true duals at this point, unless the heat is staggering this summer then I'll re-evaluate my thoughts.
I didn't want obnoxious loud and the Supertrapps provide me with the sound I'm after.........not to mention they are a good looking slip-on as well and one can change the aesthetics by changing the tips. Did I mention they are the top performers in slip-ons?
