Default Wild Hogs

Not the movie, the animal. Just wondering if anyone has ever ran over one or maybe any other unusual animal. I knew a guy who almost hit a bear one time on a bike, had to have been scary. I also saw a dead monkey laying by the roadside in Florida. I bet that story started with, "Now you ain't gonna believe this s**t"! Reason for this ridiculous post is wild hogs almost killed the ol ladys big potbelly pig 2 nights ago. Took 12 shots with a .45 colt revolver to finish him off and he was already almost dead. Pigs are incredibly tough and i figured running over one would be like hitting a boulder. Anyone got a good pig story? I don't want to hear about that time you scored at closing time either.

In 1979 I actually got hit by a buck. I was parked at a stop sign on a backroad in Wisconsin when a buck darted out of the forest and knocked me and my scooter clean over. A little butt puckering in my teens. I know this ain't no pig story as you requested, but you took em' away from me with your final statement.

Wild hogs, around here, weigh upwards of 250 lbs. Not something you'd want to hit.

They do make great bbq'd pork chops though! mmmmmmmmmmm

I have hit 2 hogs with a vehicle. One was in a Ford Bronco 4X4 at about 25 mph. I center punched it with a big aftermarket winch bumper. One of the hogs front legs was broken but it ran off. I was able to shoot it with an AR-15 and put it out of its misery. I hit one in a Ford Crown Victoria at about 30 mph. the hog lived and ran off. the Crown vic sustained major front end damage alignment issues. I would not want to hit one on a Motorcycle. Imagine running into the hog shown in my avatar, that would mess your day up. I prefer to chase them with dogs.

Probably by ship, or are native. I'm betting that they aren't whitetails or mule deer though.

Wild Boar in the South are huge. When I did research on getting my dog an "American Bulldog" which I guess are bread to bring down or assist in hunting Wild boar. I realized how big they are.

If someone was to hit a wild boar it better be a piglet.

I attached a pic of one shot in Texas.
