Well, there are Japanese made parts in Harleys these days. No disputing that. This thread has gotten way off point. Time to let it all go. No-one is changing anyone's mind, we're all just digging our heels in and sticking to our points. This means there is no nutritional value in the discussion anymore.

Have fun!

To all people who post after this post.

the horse has got to be dead. It stopped moving a week ago. This was a bad idea of mine thinking that the majority of people were open minded. I was wrong. Sorry and let it go.

go for a ride and forget about this posting. Please.

Sure, I have to order parts and stuff. But I live in a small town, so I'm used to ordering anything and everything.

That bike has 152K on it, is infinitely wrenchable, and a pleasure to ride.

Never had to walk to Japan.
Oh yeah? I have had 2 Yamahas....break down on the road sometime and need a critical part. You'll be walking to somewhere. And then waiting...for weeks.

I needed to piss somebody off today... figured you would be an easy target. This thread had nothing to do with being open minded. You came blasting out of the gate saying how Harley sucked compared to a metric. Then you were put in your place because you were wrong. So shut up, quit accusing us of being closed minded, quit telling us where and when to post, and just take your bruises like a man!

Mr. Haus,
We are supposed to be adults. You mis-interpreted the OP and have now done what everyone does when calm reason is used against them. Now you've just become offensive. The OP shouldn't have to just "shut up" and I suggest that you take it like a man and show evidence of manners.

He voiced an opinion. Even if he had been wrong, he has the right to his opinion, and he has the right, within the rules of this forum, to voice that opinion. Of course you have the right to be insulting and childish, a right you've now exercised. Of the two of you, I'd rather deal with the OP who has, time and time again, calmly tried to re-explain his original point.

Your post IS close-minded because your opinion is that he was "put in his place" and he should now "shut up." Now that IS close-minded.

Let's just remain decent to one another. That's what rules are originally meant to do... encourage civility. Let's disagree like adults. Without insults or name-calling. I propose we actually try truly hearing what someone is saying before we speak. And then, only when we truly understand the OPs original statement, then we can seek to discuss things.Like adults.

Thanks for listening.

read my Lemon Law thread. This will more than likely explain why. I don't care about cost cause the HD will hold its value that why I buy HD, Plus is domestic (some what). However after all th BS this time I will look at Victory. Sonny Barger and allot of other clubs and its member are jumping ship. Which adds to HD's loses.

I hate copies... for you lovers of copies you must love your Rolex watch clones. Lets see fake 100 dollar bills, those will get you somewhere. Why not bitch at the government because someone else can make the same piece of paper that looks almost the same that cost much less... Zirconium will never be a diamond... etc, etc... I mean how much of this do we need to repeat.

Midnight Evil I bow to your superb observations and communication skills. I am sure whatever your profession is you are at the top.

I must admit it took a little while for me to get past your avatar, really creepy.

I read all these posts and to those who lately posted that the climate is unfiendly are only really stating that their opinions are not accepted. This thead has remained quite civil and interesting. So thanks all, even those who feel beat up, you were not, just your ideas were challenged, which can be a good thing.

I got to twist my wrist for a few hours on my HARLEY today, so I feel just fine thank you very much.
