Been riding since 1973 and got pulled over for tthe first time Octoberof last year. I was riding with 3 buds (Touring bikes with Rineharts) on Rt 8 in Mass.
About 10 miles north of Otis going about 45 mph we passed a restaurant and a Jeep Cherokee comes flying out of the lot with lights flashing so we all pull over. LEO jumps out and starts with:
"I'm sick and tired of getting call about motorcycles speeding and making noise. I'll let you guys go but if you ride here again you'd better take it easy."
Figured the local PD folks had a tough leaf peeps season so I said Thanks Officer, and my buds chimed in with the same reaponse.
I was close to his Jeep and when he got in he gave me smile and said he hated the Fall.
We stopped at the Otis Chicken Farm to warm up with a coffee and one of my buds was pissed because he couldn't see why we were pulled over.
The rest of us told hem to go back and argue if he wanted and that we'd meet him back home. He decided to ride back with us.
