Default Winter storage, anyone do this too?

Its been 25 years since I have had to store bike for the winter, back in the 80's I would spray Pledge Furniture Polish all over my bike ( abosolutly everything) before I covered it up. It really helps to protect the bike from moisture...anyonme else hear of this or do it.

I've heard of it,but never done it.I also heard WD40 does the same.I imagine Pledge would smell better!

Sorry, meant stuff like engine block, spokes.Obviously not the paint!Just wax it.The only thing I spray my bike with is water.I've used Pledge for chrome.Works great, but I wouldn't spray it all over my bike like that for storage reasons.

I feel bad that have to store your bikes!

I know many people like using Pledge at car shows too. Myself, I won't use it on anything other than furniture. For rubber and plastics, I use Aerospace 303. For paint, Mother's Quick Detailer.

I've never winter stored a bike yet. it may sit for a few days to a week sometimes.. due to snow/ice and extreme cold.
