I would sell your reservations to me at a deeply discounted price and I'll send you pictures so you can get all pumped up about next year.

Sounds like they way over booked and can not get all of the pick ups in time or they under booked and keep putting you off until the truck get full, or it could be equipment problems. By any chance did you have any referals as to the previous end results with this company.

Would be very interesting to hear what the transport company says once they contact you.

Another vote for NFW they touch the bike. You're getting jerked around big time and if they can't even answer the phone (3 mailboxes full? ) Sounds like they have a lot of problems, why voluntarily add your bike to the mix? Fly down with the g'friend, have a good time and be glad you don't deal with these clowns. Just think how good it will be when you're at a bar and you overhear a couple of guys talking and the conversation starts with "But they said my bike would be here from NY in time to ride....."

So - it looks like the shipper is a fraud.

I booked the shipment through uship, i started calling around looking for another shipper who also uses uship, he said he can see my original shipper online right now booking shipments. they are not answering their phone or email...

Tomorrow I will be checking to see if they have the appropriate licenses for interstate shipping and checking on anything else that might make their life difficult.

What a drag. IF anyone knows someone who might want to take a bike from brooklyn ny to daytona (or orlando) tomorrow let me know...

If and when they show up, tell him someone from his company already showed up and took the bike. Then act freaked out and start demanding answers. Shut the door and go have a cold one while you plan your trip minus your bike. I went to bike week a few years back, with no bike, and had a blast. Didn't have to worry about my bike and wandered around for hours looking at stuff. Not to mention free beer at a few places

Have fun!

Default The Pen Is Mighter.......

I might suggest, what ever you decide. When you get back and get settled in, I'd definitely contact the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint:
Email:
inquiry@newyork.bbb.org

Phone:
(212) 533-6200
Our consumer advisors are available 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays.

Fax:
(212) 477-4912

You can send us Mail or Visit us at any of our three locations:

New York CityOffice
Better Business Bureau Serving Metropolitan New York, Inc.
257 Park Avenue South, 4th Floor
New York, NY 10010-7384
Office Hours: 9-5 Monday through Friday
212.533.6200
Fax: 212.477.4912
Inquiry@newyork.bbb.org

I'd also file a complaint with the NY State Attorney Generals Office. Nobody has a right to do to you what these people put you through.

Filing a cmplaint withe the BBB is a waste. I mean really, how many people actually call or go on line to the local BBB and check out a business before using them? Few I guarantee it. Then on top of that the BBB has no authority to do anything, nadaa, nothing to any business. The BBB itself is a business and it is in the business of selling it's logo to businesses.
