You have to add it to every tank. Comes in a small plastic package.

Here's what to do, drain the oil and let the sob blow the engine, put the oil back in and call the dealer to pick it up. If they want to play rough you need to too.

Good one EZ you beat me to it. F that MOCO. Next oil change at dealer go around corner, remove oil plug, let oil drain all way back to dealer. Tell them the mechanic did not tighten the drain plug and it fell out. Make sure the engine seizes of course prior to returning to dealer. Or, if you are financing with HD leave the bike at the dealer and stop making payments. Just make sure you buy a new bike from another dealer before you ruin your credit!!!

Default It's an '08 thing

Harley quality control is going down the toilet. My '08 Ultra was delivered to me with major paint flaws. It took about 4 months, but the tank and front fender were replaced under warranty. In the meantime, the "check engine" light was coming on intermittently. Finally the bike just stopped running and I had to trailer it to the dealer. Despite telling me that it was going to be treated as a "downed bike" and dealt with quickly, it took my dealer four working days to figure out that the main plug to the ECM had not been clipped in ("by somebody") and had vibrated loose. I sold it.

I just met a guy the other day who had owned an '08 LowRider. This was about his tenth Harley. It vibrated so much that he couldn't keep his feet on the footpegs. A license plate bolt, to which he had added Loc-tite, vibrated off and went bouncing down the highway. Deeley of Canada was not going to help him out. I was admiring the new Moto Guzzi California Vintage he had traded it for when we met.

Buy a newer Harley and you're tossing the dice. That's why my "new" Harley is an '03 Road King.

I've been hearing stories like this about Moco more and more over the last year. They don't stand behind their product anymore; even under the 2 year warranty if you have so much as changed the tire valve cap.

I don't see the point of buying another HD (I'm on my 8th and have 2 now) if they are not going to back up their product any longer.

The Cross Country Vic is looking better and better all the time.

Well they are screwing you big time on your warranty. They should be fixing your bike. It sure sounds like pinging to me though. Your piston tops might be covered with carbon. An easy way to clean the carbon off is by spaying water into the intake slowly with the bike running. If it is built up with carbon it will blow a bunch of crap out the exhaust pipe.
