My D402's have over 12,000 on them but I'm seeing cracks, just ordered some Avon Venoms.

Metzelers, in my sincere opinion, are worth every single penny. I thought I was on a different bike when I got my set.

I had the stock dunlops and they just suck balls. Every little notch in the road makes you feel like you're gonna go down.

The Metzelers just glide over grooves and it's like you're on a couch with wheels. Very nie. I've never tried the Avons... maybe I'll give those a shot next time

Ditto, Dunlop E3s. If they make the sizes you need.

Default tires

I have also had metzler me 880's on my dyna and they really gripped the road
you can get them in wide white walls or thin white walls
just check or ask the julian date on them before you buy
the date is in a small oval stamped into the side wall

a 2508 means the 25th week of 2008
remember rubber has a shelf life

Metzler for me. Don't be cheap on tires. You only have two between you and the road. Stick with stock sizes. My $.02

Metzelers are the best tires bar none that I've ever owned. would not use any other if I can help it.
