The wife and I both wear the Head Trip helmets. Very light and very comfortable.

I have the Head Trip and it is more comfortable than not wearing a helmet at all.

Headtrip has just enough to be DOT compliant but is still comfortable, thus, less weight and shroom effect.

I have a ACC carbon fiber headtrip helmet and its like wearing a ball cap (well almost )

In a serious accident, neither one will save your life. It's just more about keeping the cops off your back. Glad I live in Fl. and have the choice to wear it or not.
Wanna bet?

I had a CF Headtrip on in 2007 when a drunk turned left in front of me. I was doing 50. I flew a long way and hit the ground on the "bill" of my Polo helmet(non-DOT) BTW. Torm me up & tore the helmet up. Headtrip sent me a new one. Nice people who will do you right.

Our local dealer sells the Headtrip ACC DOT helmets so I have had a chance to really check them out. My humble personal opinion is that there is NO DOT helmet that will not give you the "mushroom" look. Even the ACC website will not show ANY pictures of the DOT helmets on a normal person from a straight on front view.

I did see one post a while back from a guy that had a polo DOT ACC and it looked a little better than most. Maybe one or two of you brave souls who are claiming the "no mushroom" look could show us all exactly how an ACC DOT helmet really looks from straight on.

This sounds like a fair request....I'd like to see as well.

I have 9 helmets one is a Head Trip non DOT. Guess which one I ride with 99% of the time. Same as the DOT but without the Styrofoam. Just as safe just not as legal. Good thing I live in Fl. Try one for 30 days, if you don't like it, they'll give you a refund. Whats the risk?
