Shooting a gun from a motorcycle is stupid because its hard to aim while bouncing around. The best thing is to get the guy to pull over and then shoot him. But, once the piece comes out, most people run like hell. And, at that point, its cold. Best to just start shooting randomly and with intense anger, and nevermind the itty-bitty details.
In the scenario I listed above, I'm certain my time in jail would be minimal. Maybe a month or two, while waiting for court, but its an easy case of self-defense and any lawyer could button it up. The driver of the minivan had clearly lost his marbles and at that point forfeited his right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of the happy.
You can't point a vehicle at another human with intent to do harm. Thats an attempt to kill. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. And they don't always use guns.
The guy in the gas station got what he gave. Malicious or not, his actions were boneheaded. So were mine, I don't deny it. The primary points of interest are: Neither were hurt.
Both learned.
Thats real justice.
I wish I could walk up and say "hey man you scared the crap out of me" but that isn't me. If thats your thing, chances are you live a much more comfortable life than I, so theres you're reward for being a levelheaded person. I'm not levelheaded but I'm not unjust either. Have a beer and think on it.
