One last thing and then I'm letting this thread die a slow death. The V8 Choppers start in the mid to upper 30's. Now we all know a lot of people riding Milwaukee iron with at least that much $$ invested or more only to roll up to a bike event and not even be noticed (if you're in to being noticed!). As far as the accessories go they are a little pricey as they are good, quality parts. Not made in China mind you. I don't have $$$ growing on tress in my yard, either, but most of the folks buying these machines have plenty of it and don't worry about the pocket change. I don't want to hurt any feelings so I'm off this horse. I'm crazy happy with what I ride and I'm sure you are all, too. If anybody has any questions about them and you want a real answer and not somebody's misconception who has never ridden one, fire away. Ride safe, fellas and felletes!

Not sure about riding a two wheeler with a V8 but I'm sure it would be a blast!

In addition to my Harleys I have a Gold Wing with a sidecar. It does okay but would like more power and a V8 bike would be perfect. The chopper thing wouldn't work well with too much front end rake but maybe the Boss Hog would.

I keep thinking about putting in a SBC in the Gold Wing!

BTW, don't flame me on the Gold Wing. It really belongs to my dog and I just drive him around.

I would guess it's allot like riding on the hood of a NASCAR! I would love one to go on short rides. I was really surprised at how well it handled. I even found a few pot holes to run over and the ride was better than my SG!

At the end of the day the engine puts out too much heat and the ride position is too spread out to be comfortable for a long ride. It would make a great 2nd bike.

As for these V8 choppers - It looks like they hold enough gas to get them from gas station to gas station.

There are alot of very close minded people on this forum - you just have to ignore them.

... what kinda range do you get on a tank of fuel with one of those..??

Cap,
My bike has a 6 gal tank and I can comfortably ride about 100 miles. I put Dart heads and a bigger cam on mine so I am getting about 18mpg. If I play hard that goes down of course.

The new bikes have a 7 gal tank and it depends on the motor you choose. The base motor is a 260hp Chevy crate or you can opt for a Dart built 360hp or 520hp motor. The bikes with the Dart engines are wicked.

I don't ride a V8 but I've worked on/built a couple so thought I'd share pics. The first one is me and Jay Leno's 502 Boss Hoss that I painted. I mixed up a nice pearl blue/black color for him. The other one is a custom with a supercharged 502. I built the frame, fabbed the tank, painted it, put it all together. They're fun to ride but I prefer Harley.

I'm not much on the chopper stuff anymore.. I do like the look of this V8 bike though.. clean looking imho.
