Better yet, put those patches and pins in a drawer somewhere and forget about them.

When you bought your bike, along with the owners manual, the dealer should have given you a Harely Uniform Regulations and Standards handbook. That should address any questions you have. If they didn't give you a copy you need to go back and demand one.

I only have 2 standards for a vest. The American Flag goes over my heart. And if anyone takes issue with that, I reserve a spot on the back near my azz where I can stitch your face to. That way you'll forever be kissing my azz.

On the serious side, the only rule I know of applies to the American flag.
On the vest/jacket front, flag on left side with nothing above/higher than it. Star field to the left as you face it.

BTW: on a jacket, if it's on a sleeve, the star field should be towards the front of the jacket. A flag with a left hand star field as would be worn on the front of a jacket/vest, would be backwards if sewn on a right sleeve. They make left & right hand flag patches for this reason.

OK, we now can return to our usual comedy hour programming.

For a while I was wondering if joining this forum was worth it. I now realize it was one of my more intelligent moves. You just can't beat the highly technical answers you get to the most complicated and troublesome questions.
