View Poll Results: The meet and greet should be...
Geez, just found the other thread and this poll. I hope you pick a date I can make. I had been prowlling some local social clubs to see if anyone does any get togethers. Never saw anything.
I voted for Wrightwood because I think Tom's gets too crowded as is, is too hot, and is over-done. And you had mentioned you would need to make an aprox number of people resv for Sagebruse. This type of thing you will never get good commitments. Just my thoughts.
But I'm up for any location if I can make it.
Located in OC and willing to meet up with others in OC to ride and meet with others to continue to ride and meet with others and so on, till we get to the (where ever) place.
I'll try to get my BIL to go with, and my wife to ride with me if I can.
Watching for a date

If you come over Ortega from inland it's a twisty ride and the guys on the sport bikes take it like it's a race course. A fun ride (also known as the most dangerous road in America).
Lisa
I think the section they refer to isnt Ortega, but this stretch of 74, where they filmed "Its a Mad, Mad, Mad World back in the early 60's. Make a slip here and its a loooong way down

Count me in! I too live about five miles from cooks. Hells kitchen is a cool hang on Ortega, more on the lake side than the 5 side. I voted for Tom's, just cause it is a great ride to go over Ortega to get there
I voted for Wrightwood, nice ride up there, weather is good this time of year . Second choice would be the Sagebrush
+1...been wanting to ride the Angeles Crest since it re-opened, so voted for Wrightwood. I ride down the canyons near the Sagebrush and the Rock Store all the time, great rides if you like the twisties. These are runs you have to do at least once if you're in SoCal...my stomping grounds, always enjoy riding there (but haven't actually been to the Cantina for a couple of years). Either one's good for me.
By the way, there's an outfit that sets up on "the Snake" on Mulholland Drive above the Rock Store every weekend and takes pictures of people riding by...you can check out your pic online and buy a copy from them if you want.

I was first to vote fo Wrightwood, because I have never stopped there and I love the mountains, but looks like Calabasas is in the lead. I did a "where is Calabasas" search and the first one that came up is,Britney Spears lives there,,,,,I would not mind if that skank showed up.......plus it's over a 4 hour trip from San Diego,,will still plan on being there
