I have a 88B motor punched out to 95" with headwork and cams. The bike has plenty of torque and top end over 120 mph. My bike has a carb, so re-jetting is less costly than re-mapping the newer EFI bikes. I've ridden both the 96" Street Glide and Road King and can honestly say, I prefer my 95" motor.

I decided on an 06 when I bought my night train mainly because that was the year they went to the 200 rear tire.

Thanks for all the responses - got my '07 FXSTB w/ the 96B motor - great ride! Heat isn't bothering me all that much. Haven't sat in bumper-to-bumper traffic yet, but not common on my routes. Thanks again!
