I've got the Head Trip (ACC) half-helmet, and it's worth every dime. I've had mine almost a year. I ordered it using their website dimensions and decided on a Medium. Wore it last summer and fall, and was unhappy with the way it rode back on my head. Over the winter, I emailed them about it. They had me re-measure my head. I was right at the largest measurement for the Medium. They asked about the shape of my head, which is more oval than round. They told me to send it back and they'd take care of it.
I packed the thing up and shipped it back to them. A week later I had a new helmet. They sent me a large that they'd reshaped for my head and relocated the strap mounting points. Let me repeat that. I sent them a helmet that I'd worn for 4 months, they sent me back a new helmet.
I've worn the new one several times this season, and it's much more comfortable than it used to be. It still lifts and slides back a bit at speeds over 70, but any half helmet is going to do that (I don't use a windshield). The only other possible negative with it is that it's LOUD at highway speeds, much more so than my old HJC half helmet. Earplugs are mandatory.
Great helmet, great service. They're the only half helmet I'd consider.

The HCI's do look good and at 30oz are very comparable and more reasonably priced at right around $100. There are lots of carbon fiber helmets on eBay, even some for quite a bit less but I do realize that not all carbon fiber is created equal. Most seem to be happy with their ACC helmets but after researching them, seems like an awful lot of people have to return their helmets to have them tweaked for one reason or another but all report good customer service.

The Head Trip helmets come with 2 different liners to modify the fit but you still have to get close. I did my research and looked for a year only to find nothing smaller or lighter AND DOT. I realise that's a lot of money to spend but I've been very happy with mine and until someone comes up with something better I wouldn't trade for anything.

I have an AGV FF MC, so have got it covered when I want to go that route but I simply enjoy the experience more riding in a half during our hot and humid summers here.

but I will say that they do fit them to your head properly. If for some reason it does not fit properly just return it to them stating why and what it needs to be right and they will do it at no additional charge. And that includes placement of the straps, etc. Yes, it may be a little more costly than some other helmets, but they are definitely quality. Also, because of how light they are they can be worn for hours with no discomfort. Almost like not wearing a helmet. I have mine for three years now and am very pleased with it.
