Just know that the stock bolt that holds the floor boards to the bike will now hold the HG brackets to the floorboards and his supplied bolts hold the boards to the bike now. I was quite unclear on this even with his detailed directions with pictures. Guess I might just not be good at reading directions and applying.
The only issue that I am a little concerned is putting up the kick stand it is already a bear to get up. Trying to use your toe to get under the board. My 2007 Heritage Classic is a little funky where they relocated the bar. I am going to have to remove it, grind it off and put one of them extensions on it. Did you have problems with your kick stand not so much putting it down, but getting it up. ( Sorry that sounds rather personal)

I have just returned from the maiden voyage. These things rock. There so much more room to move your feet around that it is not even funny. My brake pedal no longer blocks my highway peg. Seems as if this will really cut down on leg fatigue, if not eliminate it altogether.
My main concern was if the floorboards would scrape more as I have decreased my lean angle by adding these. I went to the windiest road I know (Mulholland Hwy) just north of the Rock Store and took a ride up and down "The Snake." I usually scrape my boards there once or twice due to the nature of the twisty road and all of the off camber turns. I scraped exactly twice. Once on the way up, and once on the way down. The Harley Goodies are keepers for sure. Some people have said they had to take them off as they were scraping while turning corners.
I am happy to say my speed demon days are far behind me and I do not foresee this being a problem ever. For those who have concerns about this, evaluate your riding style. Have you ever scraped a floorboard while turning a corner? If so you might have an issue. Otherwise I'd say you will be fine.
My hat is off to Tom at HG for a qualituy product at a bargain price. Simple install can be done by anyone in just a few minutes. The resulting comfort is quite surprising as I thought how is 1" gonna make me more comfy?
If you are on the fence, Tom offers a return with full money back as well. Anyway, enough raving from me. I'm going back out for another spin.
Thats cool...did ya send Papa Travis back his alignment pins? Just wonderin cuz I feel kinda responsible since I mailed em to you after he let me use em
Not yet. He said send 'em back when I am done. You are off the hook. Don't sweat it. I take full responsibility for them from the time I took possession of them. As far as I know he does not need them immediately.
I like your set up. Im looking to put it on my bike I have a 2005 Screamin Eagle Fatboy and was looking to put the mark 3 crusing pegs but the manufacturer say's they won't fit the Screamin Eagle.
Does anyone know why? Has anyone set it up on their bike? Can it be modified to fit? If so can you post some pictures. Thanks
What do your floorboards look like? Post some pics and that might shed some light on the subject. I don't know enough about the s/e models off the top of my head.
They look really nice! The only thing I don't understand is why I can't put on the chrome ones? Aren't the black and chrome exactly alike except for color?

Looks to me like the softail goodies only come in polished stainless steel. If you want them black you can always have them powder coated or rattle can them. You should contact Tom and see if he plans on offering a black version. I am sure that is not out of the question.
