We are absolutely more patriotic. Part of the reason for owning and riding a Harley is that it is an "American" motorcycle (please no arguments about how many parts are foreign!) . Yes there are skulls and flames but there is also the Eagle and it is usually with the stars and stripes. Riding a Harley and the "Freedom" of being in control relates to the freedom we enjoy in the USA.

When we rode on our Suzuki motorcycle. No one ever gave us the thumbs up. When we ride our Harleys we get plenty of them. The reason why people buy Harley’s is not just based upon any type of Patriotism I do not think that that is the reason why people buy the bikes to begin with. It is because we deserve it.

It seems that originally the 1% clubs were started by vets coming back and not quite fitting in with society, mostly societies fault,
I do not blame society because I am an anti-social misfit as far as relating to the rules of society. These are problems stemming from my own lack of disipline because of my own selfish behaviors. My behavior has cost me allot.
1% clubs are club first, thats no secret. As to whether 1%ers are more patriotic or not, I can't speak for them.
I wouldn't associate 1% clubs with patriotism. I associate them more with drug dealing and prostitution. Maybe some folks think that is patriotic. And, the last time I looked, our armed forces were made up of Americans from all walks of life. That includes far left liberals as well as hardcore republicans.
This is not a outlaws vs hells angels vs banditos etc. thread or whether you like or dislike 1% clubs .It's my opinion that the club members AND those who ride harleys seem for the most part to be more pro America than the average person.I'm not questioning anyones patriotism here nor do I care what brand bike you ride,it's just my observation based on my experience.
I don't THINK so.....sure it sounds real good... "I buy AMERICAN... so I must be more patriotic" and all that.... but we're pretty much the same as everyone else.... when we're happy with the status quo, we're all gung ho.... when we're ticked off, it's all " this government sucks"
Outlaw bikers by definition don't give a rat's butt about any one or thing beyond their club..
I suppose it would depend on what you mean by "patriotism" we all support what suits us, WHEN it suits us.
but as you say.. it's YOUR opinion, and I'm not here to attempt to change yours

Perhaps 1% clubs are patriotic because they realize when they get incarcerated under the Rico act for being members of organized crime, they know their fellow American citizens will foot the bill for their free food, medical, dental and cable TV while they hang out with their homies. Just a thought.
