My vote would be for Arizona. I can't handle the humidity in FL. I moved here about 7 years ago andplan on staying here the rest of my life. There is just about any kind of terrain and scenery you can imagine here....except for beaches of cource. If it get's too hot in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area for you in the summer, justride up to Flagstaff. There are countless amazing scenic rides all over the state and you can ride year round.

Not sure I could survive in the Peoples Republic of California. I think I want to do the Route 66 ride then hang around AZ and check it out, suond like it is getting a lot of votes.

Saw an article a couple of years back about top 10 places in America to retire and one they listed was Aiken, SC area. There are large hospitals within 45 miles of there(Augusta, GA,Greenville, SC& Columbia, SC), great year round weather, real estate is cheaper(for now), you're 2 - 3 hrs. from the beach and mountains. I have relatives who live in the surrounding area(Saluda & Batesburg, SC)and if it wasn't for my grandkids, I'd consider moving back to the area.

well thats a no brainer the winner is florida .in north central florida we still have a lot of country roads .we ride 12 months out of the year the only thing that stops us is hurricanes !!!!!!!!!!
Check out northern Arkansas. Some of the nicest motorcycle riding around, low taxes, affordable housing.
Check out the web site http://www.cruisetheozarks.com/. I've never been there, lived in Minnesota and North Dakota all my life, but someone I used to work with retired there and loves it.
Stay in the north. The riding season is good, taxes are low, industry is moving in etc...... Do not move to the south east. The weather is good, we don't like unions, and hillary is going to send us health care

I havea friend that just retired from the military a couple years ago and took a job in Mesa, AZ. He's an avid rider, and says he seldom drives his car anymore. That being said, the only time I have visited was last July, and it was well over 100 degrees by 10 am (though he said the really hot weather is only a problem for about 2 months each year).
My favorite place is SC, but inland away from the coast. Low cost of living, great weather, and pretty close to several great rides.
