Default Intercom with half helmet?

Looking to set up our half helmets with the helmet to helmet intercom on the Ultra. Did a search and found a few ideas, has anyone done this?

Sew a piece of Velcro between the "V" shaped strap on the helmet. make sure you use the softer part of the velcro. Next put a piece of self adhesive velcro to the back of the speaker. Works great, and even when I put in the zip-out ear muff, I can still hear it with no problems.

Been using it this way on 3 different helmets, over the past 5 years.

I saw one like described above. The owner was trying to sell it to me cause he only had one intercom and thought that he didn't need it for just him.
It looked pretty slick compared to mine that is in the foam in my full face. He said his sounded good, and that the wind didn't affect it very much, so you may give it a try.

I have a classic with no built in intercom. Does anyone have experience using any of the wireless intercoms? I'm also looking to use it with half helmets.

Thanks, I saw a similar set up at an MDA ride last year, the guy's wife had sewn in a piece of nylon webbing into the "V" and hooked up the headphones to that. That sounds like the way to go.

I bought these on a wim from JC whitney and they work pretty good up to about 45 mph. Then the wind noise gets to bad. We use them on open face helmets but I will try the install on our shortys in the better weather. We have the highway ones. $59.95

Have you tried the IMC-HS-440-HALF HELMET HEADSET FOR TWO WAY RADIO AND CELL PHONE? That looks like it would work perfect for my mp3 playing cell phone. Although I'm not sure I want a mic boom out in front of me all the time.

Nice thing about the Velcro, is that the Speakers are removable in about 2 seconds...PLUS you can reposition if needed to fit properly in your ear. I know the fit changes slightly when I zip in the Ear liner, but repositioning takes about 2 seconds.

Still have to mount the headset to the helmet, But I like having the abiolity to remove them when I ride Solo, or the wife is not along on her bike, so I don't need the CB.
