I don't have a bike yet and I am still concerned with the "stunt" riders around here. I live in an area (western NC)where challenging two lanes are abundant...as well as the challengers that try them out. I read different posts where the crotch rocket riders like to show their ass to the Harley guys and there WILL be trouble at times. I don't want to be the victim of some idiot that thinks he has skills and freedom to do things that endanger someone that is out just to enjoy their ride. There is no way that a bike running at the speeds that some of those guys ride could maneuver around someone they come up on in some of these curves around here. I guess there will be a lot of mirror watching when I start riding again!
That sums it up... " it's disappointing to see that things have apparently gotten so out of hand in South Florida that draconian enforcement policies are being seriously discussed".

Sounds darn good to me.
Ride in a safe manner, you got no problem, ride like an idiot, loose your priveledge and your bike.
Stunters are dangerous fools. Even if they only hurt themselves, insurance and taxpayer hospital costs increase. I have no problem with impounding the bikes and a license suspension for several years. Maybe maturity will occur during that time.
This may also have the opposite effect. If you know you are going to loose your bike and your license, it will make these guys do WHATEVER it takes to out run the law and thus endangering more people.

Besides....I'm sure noone on this board...even though they aren't "stunters" has never ever lifted the front tire ont he street..on some bike or another.....and that si what it comes down too..also the law includes excessive speeding...
worst of all.....it doesnt have defintions of when "excessive speed" is involved. Its all officer discretion..scary huh....
Guess what..there are less penalties to riding drunk than an innocent wheelie....on a deserted back road or warehouse drive...
There is this place in NH--Concord-- where many ZOOM SPLATS go to ride crazy.
Because it is out of the way, the cops sorta look the other way and let it just happen.
