Best fall colors ever.

Best fall colors ever.
In the past two weeks I have put about 1,500 miles on the bike riding through Illinois and Iowa. I have never seen such brilliant red, orange and yellow leaves. The fall weather matched the level of colors also in that it has been sunshine and blue skies.
None of the rains other areas of the country have had. Some strong winds but the Road Glide ignores them. Even the price of gas made it more enjoyable.
Gas went from $2.39/gal to $1.91.
Some of the routes followed rivers. Rte 84 north along the Mississippi, Rte's 26 and 29 along the Illinois River. But routes 78, 40, 26, 17, 34, 92, 150 and others through small Illinois towns had great vistas also.
At 75 yoa I don't know how many more fall seasons that I have left but this one is the best experience that I have had. Me and my Harley.

You are correct, it has been one of the best falls in recent memory for riding, and the smells are just as pronounced as the colors,it's been awesome ! This was a ride this past weekend in the Laurel Mountain area of PA. Johnstown.
