Heres what I want in my head. You guys tell me if it can be found. I would like to add a switch (like the acc. or cruise) to my SG that will open the garage door. It would need to be more of a button type or a spring loaded rocker. Any ideas besides the headlight switch thing from HD?

check out ebay item 220089713014, i bought the plan but have'nt installed yet. The guy that does my "out of my league" repairs said it looks like it will work. We are going to install within the next couple of weeks.
I have seen online a tech page where somone used a very tiny switch that was drilled and placed into the switch houseing. It was a small button type that did not look much bigger than 1/8 inch, if that. He used a standard garage door opener mounted inside the fairing and then went from there.
I dont know if this helps but i hope it does.
buy a garage door opener that will work on your door take it apart find the two soldiering points of the switch soldier two wires on them short them to make sure it works find a place to put a button i ordered another push button from hd the one that resets trip drilled hole in console mounted button hid controller under dash thats about all their is to it
