I put all the mugs on the scale and it was close to 20 lbs. The shipping alone was then like $15 best/cheapest way (FedEx Ground).
Then I am going to have to buy packing peanuts and bubble wrap with which to ship them. We used to be able to get free peanuts on the local CL but no more -- the demand exceeds the supply.
So, I am ballparking my hard costs of shipping and materials at $20-25.

Pack them tightly in old newspaper...just as secure, hell of a lot cheaper,bio-degradable and makes for some interesting John reading...:>)

... my daddy always taught me, put a box in a box... seriously, I just have seen enough of what happens when you don't pack fragile things right (a byproduct of growing up in the lighting business though that isn't what I do now), so I did all I could to ensure there'd be no breakage in transit. Glad my efforts were successful.
