I was wondering the same question on my 09 since it has the same closed loop system as my 04 Silverado. Some say the download alone, some say race tuner some say it will compensate as it has wide band 02's.

I don't know who to believe. I put slipons on my bike a few days ago now I want to do the a/c but want facts, not money sucking BS!

Delphi ecm... check

delphi fuel injectors... check

delphi wide band 02 sensors.. check

delphi map and crank sensors... check

you would think with today's technology that the ecm would pickup on the increased air flow and richen the system up.

It's the same fuel managment system that's in my 04 silverado for christs sake!!
Your trying to compare apples and oranges. This ain't your 04 silverado

Well i just installed a pair of Vance and Hines oval slip ons on my 07 Roadglide and yes V&H on their website says that the 07's do not need the remap download because of the 02.
The Bike rides and sounds gread and i was thinking of getting the Wide Band 02, I did intall the Stage 1 heavy breather .
Just don't want to waste any more money , everyone says something diffrent
Confused ?

Well, I posed the same questions, and did a lil reading.I have an 09 Fatbob, I installed a set of slipons by Khrome Werks, and a stage 1 AC. As it stands, I noticed an immediate power, throttle response change on my scoot.
The change was both in MPG, throttle response, as well stand still idle.
All 3 changes wrre for the better.
Now granted, those aren't indictions of proper. Engine function. Nbut I'm old school, and an idle good or bad will tell you how well the engine is performing.

On that note. My research has also pointed to the load capacity of the ecm and its limited ability to compensate for the engines high end throttle.
So, if you are looking for an overall fix to the AFR issue, and better manage the performance and stamina of your ride,
XIEDS, or systems like the Power commander will go a long way to "Enhancing" an already well oil machine.
