Had new tires installed notice ride home wasen't the some check the tire pressure, which was 50 PSI in both call the tech and he said that’s what is on the tire, which it is. But HD only shows 36 PSI for the old tires. What should I do put what Harley calls for or what the tire shows.

If it was me..and the sidewall of the tire calls for a MAX PSI 0f 50, I'd run 47-48. I made the mistake of running my rear METZ. 880 at 40PSI when the sidewall listed MAX at 48 PSI. I listened to the dealer, I should of listened to the tire. The tire cupped so badly I only got 5K out of it. I know it's a softer compound. Case in point, I bought the front METZ.880 at the same time as the rear. The front has over 6,500 and is going stong.
It calls for a MAX PSI of 42 and I run 39-40 PSI in it.

Go to the Metzeler website and you will find much higher pressures recommended by
them. I ruined my first set running stock pressures and those 880's ain't cheap.
Metzeler has specific pressures listed depending on tire size. I doubt that any would
exceed sidewall listed max pressure but the pressures list are all higher than HD's book.
I just bought a front and back metzler today,The dealer showed me the metzler website and it shows what psi to run in them. The tires handled after about 50 mile MUCH better than a pos dunlop 402 . I must run the metz at a higher psi than what harley said about the d402....jay
