I think I saw somewhere instructions and a parts list for placing two aux inputs on the rear. I have an 09 SEUC and want to have inputs into the aux from my 660 Zumo GPS and my Whistler Crusader Radar Detector. I saw a post somewhere that showed how to add 2 Aux inputs to the rear of the HK radio, Pictures and even a parts list from Radio Shack. Since both the GPS and Radar detector would have intermittent output I would hope they would not cause any overload damage. Sure could use a pointer or two from anyone of you knowledgeable folks out there including a link to the aforementioned post. I did see one with pictures but is was a single rear input; great but not what I need.

Have an option to purchase this beauty with only 2100 miles on it and excellent appearance. My question is whether there is any known problem with this model. I've been told tire is 180 vs. newer models with 240's, tank is smaller, grips (already upgraded) were substandard allowing vibration to be transferred. Also that engine is higher compression, but not sure that's a bad thing. Appreciate your input.

Solution to rear audio with detach TP and Biketronics amp on SE Ultra

I have a 2010 SEUC and recently added a Biketronics Titan amp with the Titan XL front speakers. The...

I have a 2010 SEUC and recently added a Biketronics Titan amp with the Titan XL front speakers. The front audio has been great and I couldn't be more pleased with the investment. I also made my TourPak detachable which resulted in issues with the rear audio. Essentially the rear audio will only function when the factory HO amp (located under TP) is connected to the audio wiring harness.

When using the detach kit, there is nowhere to re-install the rear amp. And without it connected to the plug under the seat, the rear speakers are no longer connected to the system. For a while, I ran with the rear amp stored in the right saddlebag. The wiring fit under the saddlebag lid without any modifications, however it did take up space and also created heat in the saddlebag. I was going to live with this approach but spoke with Tony Simonelli from Iron Cross Audio http://www.ironcrossaudio.com/ . These guys specialize in Harley's HK radio system.

Tony offered to come to my house (I live within reasonable driving distance) to take a look at the wiring since what I described to him was different from the harley wiring diagrams. I had the seat and fairing off so he could look at the wiring to determine how best to get audio to the rear speakers.

Tony was great to work with and essentially installed 4 new pins into the larger plug attached to the back of the radio. The factory no longer uses the rear outputs on the 2010 SEUC radio connector and instead just used plastic plugs to block off these outputs. Tony installed 4 new pins bringing the rear audio from the radio to the rear of the bike using speaker wire inside of heat shrink. We ran the wiring along the frame backbone under the tank and then used barrel connectors to tap into the outputs from the rear amp harness to power the rear speakers using the HK radio's internal amp.

The fader now works perfectly and the sound is great with the Titan amp powering the front speakers and the factory radio driving the rear speakers. Tony was great to work with and I can't recommend this company enough. He wasn't even going to charge me for providing the new wiring harness to rear speakers. (Of course I made sure to give him money for a nice dinner out for his efforts.)

If you're looking to make the TP detachable on your 2009/2010 SEUC and you want to still have audio from your rear speakers, the route I just described is really the only way to get rear audio without storing the HK rear amp in a saddlebag. Now I have the system working exactly as it should (great, powerful front audio thanks to the Titan amp/speakers, very nice "fill" audio from the rear speakers and a fully functional fader) without sacrificing saddlebag space or using the rear HK amp. Give Tony a call if you think this is something you'd like to do on your own SEUC.

I didn't go to my local dealer who is straight up and very good. Went to the local high pro shop who I have been dealing with for 20 years, they sold me a dunlop sportmax roadsmart tire which they said was a multi compund tire hard in the middle and still soft on sides would wear better and still handle good. has anyone had these on their bike if so what can I expect?
