I just had new Dunlop E3's installed on my '08 Ultra. Immediately I noticed a great deal of noise coming from the front tire.

After looking at the Dunlop web page, I see that my front tire has a different tread pattern and may account for the noise.

Attached is a pic of my new MT90B16 (per the sidewall, it is a bias tire and not the radial)...notice the tread cuts extend well beyond the center line contact point.

Have others noticed a similar noise issue?

Howdy All:

I'm hoping somebody could lend a bit of expertise here; I am ignorant to all things Harley but I'm trying to track down a particular front wheel for a CB550 cafe project I have going on.

What I'm after is a narrow glide front wheel, 19x2.5". I need a dual disc hub and something that will accept a 52mm OD sealed bearing. I found one on ebay but the seller hasn't responded to my queries as of yet and if this is indeed what I need, I want to lock it up ASAP.

I would *really* appreciate it if somebody could take a gander at these photos and let me know if this wheel sounds like what I'm after:

Harley SPORTSTER DYNA STREET BOB 19" FRONT WHEEL RIM OE

I bought an '09 Ultra on ebay with 18,500 miles and love everything about the bike accept the front brakes. It has what is to me a very pronouced pulsating of the front brakes regardless of the speed I'm slowing down from. Before this bike I put 25,000 miles on my 2000 Valkyrie and it's brakes were always smooth as butter. I don't expect a Harley to have clampers that stop as quick or to be as smoooth as a Honda but this pulsating strikes me as way out of the norm...at least I pray it's not normal. Since I've never experienced warped rotors I'm wondering if this very pronounced pulsation, and the front forks oscillating up and down when I squeeze the brake lever, is evidence of warped rotor(s) or something else. Please advise me. Thanks.
