I�m getting working on getting the wide glide running, however I�m in a bit of a dilemma, probably why the PO never got it going. The inner primary cover is the issue, it musta spun a bearing and the PO had it welded however they never finished the job it�s just a blob of weld. I�ve been looking for used inner primaries only to find out they are extremely rare. I believe the HD pn is 60444-84 I know it has casting numbers X30-00085. Anyway I�ve decided to get rid of the belt drive and go with chain and sprockets because I have a brand new Shovelhead chrome inner primary cover. At this point I�m looking at what sprocket sizes to get. I�m thinking 49/24??

Electrical Issue after bike is warm.

I am having a problem with my 1996 Ultra. Whenever the bike gets hot it randomly looses all power and the bike shuts off and backfires. This is mainly happening after it is first cranked up after being ridden and I go to put load on the bike and it shuts off and backfires. I crank it back up and it wont do it again unless I ride it really hard and come off the throttle quickly to slow down, then I loose all power (radio, gauges etc) and the bike shuts off. I am able to immediately bump start it or use the starter without touching anything else on the bike.

This started happening at Myrtle Beach and I observed the voltage output to only be right at 12. So i just replaced the stator and regulator and put a 50 amp main circuit breaker in there. I have the wire coming from the stator and the wire going to the fairing on the silver lead and the other wire for the battery/starter on the brass lead. Also before Myrtle I changed all fluids and replaced the air filter with a new one.

Bad coil? ignition? New air filter causing it to run lean? I wouldn't think that would cause the entire bike to loose power.

Any ideas?

I can a random cold text from an HD dealer today, most the time I disregard them, but, "free test rides" made me take a second look.

Are there dealers really charging for test rides now??

I bought this yesterday at the dealership. I knew they were bigger in diameter than OEM wires but when I got home and opened the box they were a lot bigger than I was thinking. These are not really the look I want. Would rather have something a little smaller in diameter. These cost 63.00 and the dealership wants a 20 percent restock fee so that gets me 50.00. Anyone want these for 50.00 . I would rather someone here have them for the same money.

Throttle Release Noise

I'm curious if any members have experienced this also.
When traveling at about 40-45 MPH, when I release the throttle there is a chirp that seems to come from the rear of the bike. The best I can describe it is if you hit your brakes and your rear tire bites the pavement. There is no feel of a skid, just the sound of a "Chirp". I'm not sure how long this has been going on since I always wear ear plugs. Yesterday after a round trip of about 224 miles (highway) traveling at about 75-80 MPH I stopped to refuel, and removed my ear plugs. Being close to home I didn't put my ear plugs back in. It only happens as far as I can tell during city riding, i.e., slowing for traffic lights and traffic slow downs. When I release the throttle the noise is audible (it's not a loud noise). When I down shift there is nothing out of the ordinary. It's only when I turn the throttle back. I checked my belt tension and it appears to be normal.
My bike is a 2019 FLHT, with Legend shocks.
Any help is appreciated.

Embedded Nav in Skyline locked up

'25 SGU. I usually run Carplay, but I'm getting ready for a trip to TX and I wanted to be sure my embedded nav was working. It appears to be locked up. I've ridden 30 miles today and the map has never moved. Anyone else experience this and is there is fix that does not involve going to the dealer?

I have a screw loose.

Has anyone run into this issue. It�s happened on both my 21 CVO and on my new 25 trike. It�s the bolt attached to the upper dog bone. Engine stabilizer.

2026 Fog Light wiring kit

I am looking for the 2026 fog light wiring kit for a ROAD GLIDE... The plan is to connect the wire to the bike by the radiator and then cut off the two HD ends and splice in my two Denali D2 lights... Problem is that HD part number 69203216 says it DOES NOT fit the 2026.... Has the connector under the bike changed between 25 and 26 ??? If anyone has hook up fog lights to a 2026 ROAD GLIDE please tell me what kit number you used.
