Default Starter trouble

Friday morning I got on my '94 FLSTC to head down to Galveston, Tx for the Lone Star Rally and OhShit!!! I hit the starter button and CLICK... CLICK... Then it turns over like nothing was wrong and fires right up. After that, all weekend it would fire up. Sometimes it would hesitate, sometimes it would crank right up. Do I need to change my starter out or is this problem like a bad bendix on an old Ford? Is this a hard job or a simple one for somebody with mild wrenching skills?

Clean your battery cable connections. Sounds like a bit of arcing is heating the cable and making contact. remove, clean, reinstall.

I bought the battery at an HD shop about a year ago. The cables are tight and have no corrosion. The charging system was repaired about 10 months ago.

Having the same problem basically. I went to the store and the bike cranked just fine, but it all ways has the hesitation before it starts. Anyway I came out of the store and hit the starter and nothing. Tryed to jump it off and still nothing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
