Some of you guys sound like you own your own shops, i like this forum already. Heres a stupid question: Any body have a rough estimate on parts for going to 107 from a 96? You can get the pistons and bore job done for around $450.00. Heads will range from $300.00 for the clean up hand ported to $850.00 for cnc ported. $1,420.00 for compression released, welded and cnc ported heads (like the heads I used on the shop Dyna). Many people who ride the shop bikes mention how quick the torque comes up with these smaller port heads. The other shop dyna has the R&R stage 5 castings which are $1,450.00 but require a larger TB. The torque comes on 600 to 800 rpm's later than the stage 4's but there is so much more of it you can't tell.

The 107" kits we offer, with our proprietary Stage III Heads, with releases, proprietary Wiesco piston/Cometic gasket kit( cylinders bored,rings gapped/installed) our proprietary pushrods manufactured by Smiths, either a Wood 7H, or Wood 8 cam for '07-up T/C's, with new bearings, right down to include the NGK plug we use, pre-gapped, is only 2375.00!!!
The quick, broad, power delivery, ease of installation, easy tune, and smooth running is what seperates these from most others.
Coming in the VERY near future is our HMM .570 Express cam. Designed to work at 10.4-10.7 cr, and without headwork, our piston kits yield 10.5 under the OE chamber. That "budget build" kit will be 1229.00. On paper, it shows to be a very promising combination indeed, as Mike Peterson, GM, of Andrews Products aggrees.

Paul,
The OE pistons need to had the valve reliefs moved/enlarged.
We use a piston fixture in one of our 3, vertical milling machines, and with a 2" cutter, at the OE valve angle, establish that work.
