Default Twin Cam EFI vs. Carb Ignition Coil

Can someone please explain what the actual difference is between the ignition coil for EFI models vs. Carbureted Twin Cams?

Seems like so much work to me. Changing this stuff around.
but I understand a challenge.

Coils
Probably something to do with getting along with the ECM. Otherwise a spark is a spark.

Excuse me, but why on earth would you want to do this? What is your goal? Do you want more power? Torque? Better running? What?

I ask this because EFI 'IS' the way to go. Now notice I did not say 'stock' EFI ...

With the modern EFI tuners, you can change virtually everything to match your riding style and modifications to the bike.

The Carb is dead - long live computers...

I notice on all these type of harely boards that people have a lot more issues with efi than with carbs, right, wrong or indifferent that is what I see when browsing these sites.

It is all a learning curve.
Kinda like these computers. There was a time, and most here can remember, that this way we comminicate was very unsettling to learn. Was for me.
EFI is just a process. Seems overwelming at first but as was mentioned might as well jump in and get wet.
Ain't going away, ever.
