Default Sound of Thunder Header exhaust

Does anyone know if Thunder Headers slipon's get louder as time goes on, or just changes to a deeper sound? I've heard V&H's will actually change their sound to a deeper, better sound.

Thanks spirit54, I'm looking into getting them and just wanted an opinion. Thanks again.

vharrig-spirit 54 is talkig about a 2 into 1 Theader system and I think you're thinking of a pair of Theader slip-ons to go on your stock headers....big difference, IMO. I think 2 into 1 is a much better running and sounding setup thsn the slip-ons. The sklip-ons that I've heard sounded shitty (plus way too effin loud) compared to the 2 into 1's that I run sometimes on my FLHT. Again...just my $.02'

For slip-ons, get those Wild Pigs off ebay. They're a fraction of the cost and you'll be happy. Disclaimer: I have no financial interest in Wild Pigs , just thought spending $150 was a better deal than $500, or more.

Default True Duals

I had Thunderheader true duals on my 04 electra glide classic and loved them ,nice deep tone at idle or mild exceleration but when you jump on it she was loud. I also had a 2 into 1 Thunderheader on my 98 Fatboy sounded good but it blued up thanks to a crappy wanna be Harley mechanic who thought he knew how to tune a bike. My advice is get what ever sounds best to you.
