ok, so i get up saturday morning to go on a poker run for burn camp. I go outside to check the oil, start my dyna wide glide up go back in the house for a minute so the bike can warm up, my senior satues kicks in and i forget the bike is running. about a half hour later it hits me. i run outside and turn the bike off. a little later i head out. one would think that since i am about to go on a ride to help kids that have been burned go to camp that the good lord would be good to me. NO SUCH LUCK. the bike ran great, BUT, through the 200 miles my speedo, gas gauge, auto turn signals were for most of the trip not working. when i would turn on the bike after each stop my emergnancy flashers would flash about 6 times ( no security system) lets just say all the indicator lights were going haywire. when i got home the bike smelled sort of like rotten eggs????? I had to wait until Monday to call the hd dealership who informed me they would not be able to look at bike for about 2 weeks. so i ask, any ideas. No, he says, none of that sounds familiar to me, we'll have to look at it. I asked if my leaving it running that morning could have messed something up, no he says. Hmmmmm, I don't want to wait 2 weeks, I feel like i am between a rock and hard place. I have had past experiences with my local hd dealership and they are not always very honest. so i start researching the internet. being both old and not internet savy, i did not get to far. i tried to find fail codes for the 03, it could be i am just stupid or they are a big secret. so my son comes over, we try to start the bike and click, click, click. we took the battery off his bike and got a click and it roared to life. we tried 3 times to start bike up with his battery and got that clicking b4 it roared it life. i told him to take the battery off bcuz i did not want his battery draining. can anyone give me any ideas? I talkes to one guy who suggested it could be the battery and the votgage regulator. the battery is the orginal. i can throw a new battery on but would it drain? and would the battery going bad cause all those indicators to stop working and the check engine light to go on. I am not sure what my kid did but he came up with a code 11. anyone know what that mean? HELP, I am lost without my harley

Code 11 is Battery voltage high. Could be the voltage regulator or the battery tender if using one, what is the voltage on the battery?
Not sure of the egg smell but maybe something burned out or a wire is shorting or something, causing the electronics to go hay wire. Run the diagnostics if you can on the bike.

theres the thing, i can't seem to figure out how to run the diagnostics. we came up with something like p 085 but the last # seemed to look like some sort of weird E
I am not sure on your year of bike, let me see what I can dig up.

Reason: not the right information
1- Turn Ignition switch to OFF & Run/Stop switch is to Run.
2- Push odometer reset button in & hold.
3- Turn ignition switch to Ignition and release odometer reset button. Background lighting sould illuminate, speedometer needle should sweep its full range
and indicator lamps (battery, security, low fuel, check engine and cruise) should illuminate. The word “diag” should then appear.
4 - Push the odometer reset button once and you will see the selection menu "PSSPt" with the first P flashing.
5 - Each letter represents an area of the diagnostics module. The module that is flashing is the one you are going to check. To move from one letter (module)
to the next, you push the odometer reset button one time. (from P to S to SP to t and back to P, etc.)
P = ECM/ICM (Electronic Control Module (EFI) / (Ignition Control Module, 'Carbureted')
S = TSM/TSSM (Turn Signal/ Turn Signal Security Module)
SP = speedometer
T = tachometer
6 - To get the DTC within an area of diagnostics, push and hold the odometer reset button in for 5 seconds and release. If there are any DTC’s the code will be
displayed or the word “none” will appear if there are no DTC’s. Push the odometer reset button again to view additional codes if they exist.
7 - Record the codes.
8 - If DTC’s are not to be cleared, Press and release the odometer reset button. Part number of module will be displayed.
NOTE: To determine if a code is current or historic, clear the displayed code by pushing in and holding the odometer reset button ( longer than 5 seconds) until 'clear' comes up.
Release the odometer reset button. Turn OFF the ignition switch. Run your bike and shut it down then recheck the DTC’s again by repeating steps 1 to 9.
If the code is current it will reappear.
9 – Press and release the odometer reset button to continue to the next module.
10 – Turn Ignition switch to OFF.
