I just got an 01 Ultra Classic in trade for some work I did for a customer. I have the title, but no keys because he lost them. He said the bike has been sitting for the last 3 years, due to him being in a very bad car accident and he couldnt ride anymore. I thought I could get her home, and clean it up, clean out the tank, replace the fuel pump (there was almost a full tank of three yr old gas in it), but Nooo....
Seems there is this aftermarket security system installed by the dealer that eliminates the ability to run on this damn thing! I called the guy and begged him to remember where the key was at, but he said that he has moved twice since parking it, so he has no idea where the key is at.
So my question is, how the hell do I bypass this crap so I can get it on the road? Do I just need to buy a whole new wiring harness and computer, or is there any hope for me at this point? (Yes it is fuel injected)
I swear Im gonna take a gallon of gas and a match to this damn thing if I cant figure this out!
Anyhow, any answers will be greatly appreciated.

Well, in my 03, there is a TSSM (turn signal security module) under the seat. I thought it was bad and replaced it with a ebay item, and it worked fine but was not the issue.
If there is a 3rd party device it should be easy to find, google, and remove. Get a maintenance and parts manuals. This should show you what 'should' be there. If you are missing a key, the dealer can replace the keyset, but only with HD stuff, not 3rd party.
Can you describe more about the 3rd party stuff?
