I think anyone with a SERT or TTS can read the ECU status, diag codes, and version, they will only program one bike, but can read any one I think. I'm not sure if your local autozone can read the harley ECU.

A HD dealer or other shops with the HD or TTS diagnostics tool, can also read the map version that is loaded on the bike. If a custom map was loaded and the version name was not changed to a HD version to hide it, the shop should be able to tell if it is one of the HD maps or a custom tune.

There is no hardware left on the bike if they loaded a stock map or custom tuned it.

Default Dealer Dyno Tech Says I dont need it

V & H big shots staggered on a 2010 wide glide. The dyno tech says i dont need to do anything unless I touch the air filter because the ecm with compensate. Said it wont run as well as it could, but wont hurt anything.

Should I be worried?

'Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: 'we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.'
'How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
'You must be,' said the Cat, 'or you wouldn't have come here.'

Dyno tech gave you the right answer. You may not like how it runs but it won't hurt anything. You will lose some power and will probably get some decel pop, which doesn't hurt anything either.

New auto tune software may be more advanced than what was available in 2005, but Its not clear what hardware is being used. The Auto Tune ECU may be more advanced than 2005, but maybe still not as functional as the stock delphi ECU. I dunno
