Not entirely true. With the 14" apes I have the wires were plenty long enough with more to spare. All the cables fit too.
I am still using the stock throttle and idle cables, just had to bend the elbows down some.
The clutch cable fit but I got a hell of a deal on a couple inches longer than stock Harley black braided line when they charged me $40 including installation. They screwed up on the price but I held them to it.
I also replaced the brake line with a Magnum Black Pearl braided line just because I didn't like the look of the rubber and metal line.

Have you finished the install yet? Considering these myself just wondering how they fit you. When you get her done you should snap a pic with you on the bob.

for you guys that put apes on older dynas, 1999 + the cables from newer yrs are the same in the plus lengths. ie +4" for a 2000 is a stock cable for the 06 streetbob. i put the HD 12 mini apes on my 2000 superglide and used all black braided cables from the 2006 street bob. looks dam good!
